In the sphere of prevention and management of environmental risks, LaMMA has in recent years dedicated skills and resources to the issue of forest fires, making it one of the main focuses of its work.

The forest fire risk maps are published in line with OGC standards (Open Geospatial Consortium) and are based on:

 

 

 Each day, it automatically provides both a 3-day “FOREST FIRE RISK FORECAST” (in Italian only) and an update of a WebGIS application on which the user can view and interactively explore the different risk maps.
